WASHINGTON - News reports have identified Julius Genachowski as President-elect Barack Obama's likely choice to become chairman of the Federal Communications Commission. The following is a statement by Tom Tauke, Verizon executive vice president of public affairs, policy and communications, on the expected nomination:
