Verizon Secure Gateway is a network-based suite of services that delivers advanced Internet protocol (IP) services and applications to our Private IP customers. Secure Gateway helps establish a seamless, cost-effective migration path to a total IP environment.
Working with your private network, Secure Gateway services allow you to link widely dispersed business units, retail outlets and remote users into a single, secure wide area network (WAN) through a single Secure Gateway — Universal Port.
Whether your users are in the office or at the airport, Secure Gateway gives them a safe, consistent working environment.

Service Options
Retail and Remote Office
This economical, low-maintenance solution extends Private IP reach to retail VPN spoke sites and small office / home office (SOHO) locations by leveraging a plug-and-play router, easy VPN software and low-cost broadband access options.
In addition to serving as your primary WAN access technology, Secure Gateway — Retail and Remote Office can also be used as a business continuity solution if your primary Private IP connection fails.
Mobile User
This service gives your mobile and remote employees secure encrypted remote access to the data resources on your Verizon Private IP networks without the cost and complexity of a site-based, remote access server. No costly customer premises equipment (CPE) is required.
Firewall
This service allows employees to securely access the Internet from various locations through a centralized network-based firewall.
The standard level of service provides template-driven, centralized security management with support for simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP), all without the need for multiple links or a premise-based firewall.
The custom option provides centralized security management and lets you modify your firewall context to allow a variety of inbound and outbound service types in real time. You manage your custom firewall via a Web-based graphical user interface.
